Customer Reviews about VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Absolutely terrible services here. Was diagnosed with PTSD in 2015, sent to a social worker who laughed at my experiences, reported this to her supervisor and they did nothing to rectify the situation other than offer to send me to another provider but that provider had no openings for 3 months. Which actually sent me into a deeper depression & suicidal ideations too. Have been having headaches for 4+ years now and they refused to do an MRI to check for TBI even when it clearly show in service records I was ABN & had multiple head traumas. The doctor who refused my MRI said "the VA only does MRI's if they are going to do surgery on you." Seriously this place is a perfect example for what is broken with the VA system. Had literally only one nurse who ever showed me a little compassion for what I had been through. Oh & if you're a Vet w/ a MMJ card, don't say anything they will treat you as if you're a hard core drug user and will refuse to prescribe you certain medications. Maybe things will change when they open the new location but it was extremely depressing to see the dilapidated VA building right across the street from luxury condos. Funny how we fought for your ability to live there but we can't afford it. 11/7/17: Was diagnosed with a Moderate TBI, 3 months in a row my daily anti-depressants were late in the mail putting me at risk. My new provider, Namoi Greenstone, did nothing for me. They continue to put me in touch with LCSW's that are not qualified to deal with diagnosing mental illness and doing a clinical evaluation. It's really depressing and putting me closer and closer to the edge. I've already had one suicide attempt this year and upon letting Namoi that her lack of care was directly related to my attempt, nothing was done. One phone call from her, that was it. I don't have a support system & they've really been central in my decline since arriving home. If you can afford private care, do it. This place is a nightmare, they are unable to keep properly qualified mental health professionals on staff and veterans are suffering greatly.October 14, 2017by Joe Doe
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Have had chronic pain in neck for nine months have to beg for scans /X-rays all they want to try and give me are antidepressants which I am not depressed I want a diagnosis and not to be in pain.
